In our pursuit to be a model transportation company who is environmentally aware, Transpro has taken steps to reduce our carbon foot print by installing devices that keep idling time within MA requirements.

We also participate in a program called MassCleanDiesel which retrofits bus exhaust systems with extra filters to reduce harmful pollutants that can enter the atmosphere. Reducing air pollution means cleaner rides to school and family day care providers for kids and healthier air for everyone.

OUR VEHICLES:

van

Transpro's fleet consists of over 75 vehicles. The vehicles are fully insured and range from mini-vans, 10 – 14 passenger vans, special designed 7D vans, and 15 to 71 passenger school buses. Our drivers take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance condition of our vehicles. All of our vehicles undergo annual 7D and state inspections and are equipped with Federally certified Child Restraining Systems, cell phones, fire extinguishers, 1st Aid/Spill Kits, among other road safety equipment.


Effective March 2007, we started installing the Child Check Mate system in our yellow school buses. This is a child/driver safeguard system that is inter-connected with the vehicle’s ignition system and designed to set off an alarm if the driver turns off the ignition without walking to the rear of the bus to disarm the system.


MAINTENANCE PROGRAM:

Transpro’s staff and driver team considers maintenance one of the most important aspects of our transportation service. In July 2008 Transpro purchased one of the latest technological advances in the transportation industry. Zonar Systems is a world class, paperless, management system which consist of an Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) which are combined to monitor asset utilization, speeds, route paths, idle times and to analyize critical maintenance information. Additionally, Transpro works with a select group of elite maintenance vendors who perform all diagnostics and repairs throughout the state of MA.
